Singing Weekend with Gideon Crevoshay and Brendan Taaffe
Gideon Crevoshay has a voice that even the angels envy and has been part of/ facilitated incredible musical collaborations around the globe, from his work fostering connections between global artists with OneBeat to his explorations of Sardinian music with Tenores de Aterue to years of touring with Northern Harmony, the Starry Mountain Singers, and Bread & Puppet. For this weekend, Gideon will focus on Corsican repertoire.
For his part, Brendan will focus on Occitan repertoire, so the weekend will have a strong Mediterranean flavor, looking to show the connections between these two song traditions. Brendan has been traveling to southern France to work with native Occitan singers for the past decade and has learned from Manu Theron, Karine Berny, Audrey Peinado, Aimé Brees and more.

More about Singing Intensives
Modeled on the Bright Wings Chorus approach, singing intensives are an opportunity for a group of 12-16 experienced singers to dig deep and work hard. We expect that each singer will be able to hold a harmony part on their own. Rehearsals take place at Brendan’s charming 1796 Vermont farmhouse, and we eat lunch and dinner together. These intensives are non-residentia
